As part of the Week, Warwick organised a conference at Coventry University on 10 November 2025, on the theme of domestic violence within faith communities.
An audience of over 80 heard professional speakers describe how women and girls who are members of worshipping communities face specific issues, such as religious scripture being used to “justify” abuse, or being afraid to seek professional support on the grounds that what they are experiencing is “God’s will”. Warwick will be working on a Toolkit designed to equip religious leaders with the skills to spot signs of domestic violence within their congregations and respond appropriately.
